May Veterinary Clinic North Staff


Bambi HycheReceptionist Bambi Hyche has been with us since May of 1998, and assists with many tasks in the clinic including: billing, scheduling appointments, dispensing and administering medications, surgery admissions and assisting in the exam rooms. She is wonderful when helping clients understand what is happening with their pets.

"I like working in a family-owned practice," she said about working with the May family. "The doctors and staff genuinely care about our clients and their pets."

Bambi has three dogs: Remi, Emma and Fred. She loves to be with her husband and daughters, and her hobbies are couponing and spending time on the river.

Katy JungReceptionist Katy Jung has been with May Veterinary since May of 2011 and has worked professionally with animals since 2007. She is patient and treats all of our clients and pets with the respect and care they deserve. She works with clients in person and on the phone, acts as liaison between client and patient, maintains our files, manages our office supplies and helps keep the clinic orderly and clean.

Katy graduated with a double major from the University of Alabama in Telecommunications and Film/English. She is a registered yoga instructor in Tuscaloosa.

She has a Blue Heeler mix named Butters and enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, cooking, reading, going to concerts, camping, canoeing, swimming, jogging, dancing, meditation, watching movies, traveling and socializing with family and friends.

Veterinary Assistants

Petra SalzariloVeterinary Assistant Petra Salzarilo has been with May Veterinary since August of 2011 and has worked with animals professionally for more than 10 years. She helps clean and care for our patients. When asked what she likes about working at the clinic she said, "basically everything about my job."

Petra has both dogs and cats at home and enjoys all outdoor activities, including hiking, jogging, gardening, and cooking.

Brittany PeoplesVeterinary Assistant Brittany Peoples has been with May Veterinary since July of 2009. She is great at keeping our canine clients clean and happy, assisting in the exam rooms, answering phones, administering medicine, prepping for surgery and running bloodwork. She helps keep some of our more nervous patients calm and relaxed.

Brittany has a Public Relations degree from the University of Alabama, and is currently pursuing a degree in Biology from the University of Alabama where she is a member of the Pre-veterinarian Club. She is planning on applying to veterinary school. Brittany is currently a volunteer for the Humane Society of West Alabama.

"I enjoy working with staff and doctors, as well as interacting with the pets and their owners," Brittany said about her work at the clinic. She has three dogs: a pitbull named Stella; a yellow lab named Barley and a chocolate lab named Abita. She enjoys scrapbooking.
